The mini-documentary series presented by Official Partner Velocity Global charts the stories of different stars of the game of golf and the unique environments in which they grew up, as we travel to Kent, UK to hear first-hand about the remarkable and inspirational story of Kipp.

This is the second of four episodes this season showcasing the truly international nature and varying cultures present on the DP World Tour and wider golf family, where we hear from each player, speak to their friends, families, coaches and see the places that set them up for a shot at the very top.

Born with a form of Cerebral Palsy which impairs the muscular movement in his legs, Kipp had a golf club in his hand from the age of three and never looked back. Despite ten major surgeries in his formative years, Kipp’s ambition and dedication has led him to the summit of disability golf.

A win at the EDGA Hero Open in Scotland last year, played alongside the DP World Tour event, propelled Kipp to the number one spot on the World Ranking for Golfers with Disability (WR4GD), and he has continued that success this year, winning four out of the six G4D Tour events so far this season, including last week’s G4D Tour @ Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters in Valderrama

In this Roots episode, Popert reveals how his love for the game of golf began and became a driving force in his mantra to ‘Press On’ and overcome any physical disadvantage to achieve the ambitious goals that he has set his mind on. We speak to his family, friends and teachers who have supported him every step of the way, as well as hear how the passing of his cousin Archie Bruce has given him an even greater motivation for the game of golf and perspective on the importance of family.
