Former Masters Champion Danny Willett will bring Major appeal to the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo when he tees it up at The Belfry from August 29-September 1, 2024.
The Englishman, who hosted the event in 2021 and 2022, made an impressive return to tournament golf at Augusta National last week, making the cut on his first start for over six months following reconstructive shoulder surgery.
Tickets to see Willett and a host of DP World Tour stars in action are available to purchase here, with General Admission, Ticket+ and Premium Experiences selling out fast.
Willett became the first English player to don a Green Jacket since Faldo himself secured his third in 1996 and he again showed his class last week as he opened with an excellent round of 68, before posting three rounds in the 70s as the field were forced to deal with tricky scoring conditions.
The eight-time DP World Tour winner, who has two Rolex Series titles to his name, will tee it up in the country of his birth for the first time since his enforced break from the game, and is excited to return to an iconic venue at The Belfry.
“It’s always exciting to have the chance to peg it up at The Belfry so I’m really looking forward to heading back there in August,” he said.
“It’s relatively local to where I’m from in England and it is such an iconic venue with so much history associated with it.
“I’m still pretty early in terms of my recovery so last week was a huge step for me, being able to compete in all four rounds and play some pretty decent stuff after such a long spell out of the game.
“Hopefully I’ll be in good shape by the time the Betfred British Masters comes around, so I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there for what should be another great week.”
The Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo will be the DP World Tour’s 21st event held at The Belfry. The first tournament played at the Sutton Coldfield venue was the Lada English Golf Classic, won by the late, great Seve Ballesteros.
The Tour made a return to The Belfry after a 13-year absence in 2020, with the venue hosting a tournament each year since.
Fans are urged to secure their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment, with tickets selling fast. General Admission tickets, as well as a limited number of Ticket+ and Premium Experiences options, can be purchased here.
