Andy Sullivan said it was "very satisfying" to keep the bogeys off his card after he shot the only flawless round on day three of the 2024 SDC Championship.
The Englishman fired two eagles and two birdies in his sparkling 66 on another windy day in Eastern Cape to reach nine under par and sit two shots off the lead held by Connor Syme and Daniel Brown.
Four-time DP World Tour champion Sullivan said: "I've been making quite a few bogeys the first few days so it was just nice to cut them out today.
"Going round bogey-free is very satisfying on a Saturday to get myself in the mix.
"Some of the clubs I've hit from some of the yardages will probably be absolutely obscure to people, they won't believe.
"But it's just all on flight. The actual number of the yardage, especially into wind, really is irrelevant. You've just got to control your flights today, into the wind and downwind.
"We're lucky the greens are quite soft so downwind they're holding and into wind you're literally like a cat on the curtain just hanging on there.
"So I thought I hung in well on those holes and took advantage of the par fives today."
